SOLAJERO: del naciente al poniente

Solajero emerges from the dialogue between light, geography and time in La Palma. The collection is conceived as a continuous journey throughout the day, where each piece represents a fragment of the landscape and light in constant transformation, from sunrise to sunset. Rather than isolated capsules, it forms a chromatic and sensory narrative that connects the viewer with the island in its full breadth.

Beginning · The Rising Sun (Sunrise): The sun rises in the east, slowly and quietly, over the eastern coast of La Palma. Beaches such as Nogales and Los Cancajos, with their lines of sand, receive the first reflections of the day. The light is soft, humid and delicate: diluted pinks, luminous beiges and bluish greys blend in organic transitions. Shapes appear soft and ethereal, as if the colour had not yet decided its intensity. This phase of the collection embraces the subtlety and delicacy of pastel tones, evoking the calm and freshness of the first rays of sunlight.

Centre · The High Sun (Midday): As the sun rises higher, the island reveals itself with clarity: the summits, streams and the Caldera appear in all their strength. The colour palette intensifies, adopting humid greens, volcanic greys and reflections of bright water. The collection gains structure and strength, with more defined pieces and materials that evoke the minerality and energy of the heart of La Palma. It is the moment of the day when the light reveals every texture and relief of the island, transmitting vitality and clarity.

Final · The Setting Sun (Sunset): As the sun descends towards the west, the island becomes immersed in a chromatic spectacle: intense pinks, burnt oranges, deep violets and finally volcanic blacks. Beaches such as Puerto Naos and the port of Tazacorte receive the last warm reflections before nightfall. The forms become more enveloping, sensual and dramatic, with an intensity that warms the skin and the senses. This final phase celebrates natural drama, where the light slowly burns away and gives way to the depth of the night.

Solajero is, ultimately, a journey of light and colour that moves from east to west, from sunrise to dusk, a tribute to the geography and unique energy of La Palma, where each piece reflects a moment of the day and of the island.
