2017-04-20
The quality by Bello Company, the inspiration of the garments for special occasions by José García and the original details by Pedro Palmas, designers of the Moda Cálida del Cabildo de Gran Canaria, have excelled in the fashion parades on the first day at Pasarela Costura España.
Five companies represent Gran Canaria at the fourth edition of the Pasarela, in Madrid, a national and internationally renowned event that brings together the most outstanding designers in fashion for special occasions. Minerva Alonso, Councillor for Industry at the Cabildo, has travelled to Madrid to take advantage of the Pasarela Costura and work on future Moda Cálida events.
The first parade was shared by Bello Company and José García with their collections “On myself” and `Día de boda´ (Wedding Day), both brimming over with imagination and creativity.
Ana Bello, from the Bello Company, delighted the audience with her creations inspired in the 50´s and 60´s, a romantic style with sensual touches dedicated to a beautiful, elegant, contemporary woman, dressed in a combination of tulle, plain and embroidered fabrics of fantasy which are all handmade.
José García exhibited his `Día de boda´ collection at the Pasarela Costura España. He uses the trend of the 70´s to create volume, movement and freshness with designs adapted to the age of the person wearing them.
The second parade of the day for the Gran Canarian firms was carried out by the designer Pedro Palma, who offered his female prêt-à-porter collection for brides and haute couture. The collection is the result of his long visionary and creative career in the world of fashion.
Based on the film ´La Dolce Vitta´, Palmas presented an unusual fusion between high bourgeoisie Italian women´s clothing of the 60´s and the clothing worn by famous movie stars. He uses very feminine shapes, touches of elegant sensuality in gauze, silk, Chinese damask and tulles complemented with precious stones, beads, silk mikados and plumetis.
On the catwalk at the Pasarela Costura España this Friday, the firms Lucas Balboa and Ogadenia Couture will display their collections for special occasions. These two parades will close the participation of the brands collaborating with the Cabildo´s Gran Canaria Moda Cálida programme at this outstanding event of fashion garments for special occasions.
