The fashion designer Aurelia Gil with her multicoloured trends takes Gran Canaria fashion to the Paris Sur Mode trade show
2017-09-29
According to Minerva Alonso, the Councillor for Industry, the fashion designer Aurelia Gil, who forms part of the Cabildo’s Gran Canaria Moda Cálida programme, will present her 928-POP collection for spring and summer of 2018 at the Feria Internacional Paris Sur Mode, one of the most important events in the sector.
Until 1 October, the designer’s fashion will be exhibited at the trade show's Paris facilities in the Place de la Concorde, which also hosts work by other designers who have taken part in the Paris Fashion Week, one of the most relevant events for professionals of the sector at an international level.
Gil, who exhibits her designs on stand number 126 at the show, creates prêt- à-porter, swimwear, bridal wear and women's garments for special occasions, all exquisitely handmade, with the utmost care being given to all the details. The garments are made from natural materials free of harmful substances.
Aurelia Gil’s designs are outstanding as she uses prints she has designed herself, using both primary and secondary colours, forming, in her 928-POP collection, an aesthetic look with extremely feminine corsetry, basic cuts and ties in an X-shape, V necklines, asymmetry and double flounces.
As a reference, the collection takes on the fashion of the 70s, 80s and 90s, offering lycras, silks and tulles with splashes of primary colours such as blue, red and black, combined with secondary colours such as pink, green and orange.
Aurelia Gil’s designs can be seen in the Moda Cálida programme on grancanariamodacalida.com and on the Feria Paris Sur Mode official website www.parissurmode.com.
