Fashion parade by Palmas at 2017 Gran Canaria Bridal

2017-10-06

‘La Dolce Vita’ is the name given to the Palmas collection inspired by a film that recounts the adventures of Marcello Rubini, a paparazzo who goes in search of the photo of the year.

In order to take this photo of the year, Marcello Rubini goes from party to party rubbing shoulders with the bourgeoisie of the time. When he learns that a famous movie diva called Sylvia is landing in Rome, Marcello sees his great opportunity and decides to follow her all over the city until he finds the perfect moment and thus turn it into headlines. The collection is inspired by this film in which there is a fusion of Italian high society women’s garments of the 60’s, and those worn by the female stars of the big screen.

The garments emphasise the extremely feminine shapes designed by the firm, with their excellent touch of sensuality and elegance based on women’s dresses worn at parties and in film scenes of fantasy and glamour. Silk gauze, Chinese damask, paillettes, tulles, transparencies, gemstones, crystals, silk mikados, plumettis and feathers lend charm to this collection. The colours used go from a range of reds to royal blues, passing through watercolour greens, golds and blacks, silhouetting the female figure, which is something the Palma firm knows how to carry out professionally and with good taste.
