Gran Canaria hosts Live Fashion Hair, a unique event in the world that fuses fashion and hairdressing for the first

Four hairdressers that come from the United States and Mexico will combine their artistic hairstyles with the creations of five designers of Gran Canaria Moda Cálida in Live Fashion Hair. This is an event of hairdressing trends that fuses for the first time with fashion and it will gather in the Island the most influential hairdressers of the world and more than 400 professionals of the sector.

Joel Torres will arrive in Gran Canaria from Miami, Chiala Marvici from New York and Omar Antonio from San Francisco, while Javier Romero will come from Mexico. These four international hair artists will be charged of displaying their art along with the creations of the designers: Aday Batista, Lucas Balboa, Como la Trucha al Trucho, Lleó and Beltho Couture. The Councillor of Industry and Commerce, Minerva Alonso, detailed during the presentation that the aim was to create a unique event on the world.

This innovative initiative will be held 3 November from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Edificio Miller and is organized by the Cabildo and the company The Code Team with the aim of showing the fashion made in Gran Canaria and at the same time projecting the Island as a paradise and a unique place to live experiences, and for it it will count on mass media of Europe and America that will divulge this world-wide meeting of hairdressers in which they participate professionals recognized in the whole world and responsible even of publishing houses in magazines like Vogue, detailed the director of contents of Live Fashion Hair, Vishal Baharani.

This is the first time that Gran Canaria hosts an edition of this event which this year will bring together professionals from the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Iran, Morocco, France, Germany, Russia, Australia, the United Kingdom and Spain, including more than 270 hairdressers from all over the Archipelago. 

Demonstrations of the winners of the last edition of the TCT Awards

Live Fashion Hair will also have as guests five of the most recognized hairdressers worldwide who have won the latest edition of the TCT Awards in different categories and will perform demos to present their collections next year, explained the artistic director of Live Fashion Hair, Orlando Martin. 

They are the Russian Pavel Okhapkin, the British John Spanton, the French Eric Maurice and the Spanish David Siero, in addition to the Australian Kobi Bokshish, awarded as international hairdresser of the year and who was present at the press conference. 

Everyone will come together in Gran Canaria to receive the distinctions and to demonstrate their skills in a spectacular exhibition that will put the final touch to this event. A show that wants to demonstrate the true scope of the art of hairdressers because it changes not only the exterior but also the interior, explained Bokshish, who expressed his satisfaction for having won the award and for being in Gran Canaria.

This international meeting of hairdressers has the institutional support of the Cabildo and also sponsoring and collaborating brands such as Belma Costemik, Icon, Project Room, Revista Peluquerías, The ShowRoom Mag, Pietranera, Cicar, Pop House, Beauty Market, Heineken and Hunter Haus Studio.
