The Minilla Concept shop, identified as point of sale of Gran Canaria Moda Cálida
2018-12-20
The Cabildo de Gran Canaria has located the emblem: ‘Yo vendo Gran Canaria Moda Cálida’, at Minilla Concept shop in Triana with the aim of having it as the point of sale of the designers that support the fashion seal of the insular Institution.
The Councillor of Industry and Commerce, Minerva Alonso, specified that from that day, this multi-brand space - calle Constantino, 20- showed off the sticker in its showcase since Aurelia Gil’s clothing would be offered there.
This shop headed by Diana Montañes and Goretti Gutiérrez, at the commercial heart of the Grancanarian capital, offers the designs of Gil since April 2017 and exposes currently her last women’s prêt-à-porter collection, ‘Night-time Flowers’, which is inspired by Japan and composed by a wide variety of dresses, trousers and coats.
Points of sale have increased by 66 per cent since 2015
The installation of this new emblem, which was placed by Diana Montañes and Aurelia Gil, provides continuity to the firm bet that the Cabildo began three years ago. Its aims are to promote fashion companies and open up market outlets locally, nationally and internationally.
And this has borne fruits. Since 2015, the points of sale of Gran Canaria Moda Cálida designs have increased by 66 per cent in the Island, whereas 24 new fashion companies have been added to the programme, Councillor said.
In this regard and in order to stimulate the insular market, the Institution has located progressively plaques and stickers in ten designer and multi-brand shops, just as in the case of Clela Clo, La Rana Roja, Nuria González, José García, Les Amis de Croissier, Up & Go, and Isis Amador Showroom.
Alonso explained that the Cabildo took a chance on this initiative so that people that walked along commercial areas, both local population and tourists, might discover where the fashion is sold in Gran Canaria.
