The firm 'Chacho Souvenirs' has opted for a redesign that aims to make the leap to the international market

The Councillor for Economic Development visits the workshop of the Gran Canarian firm, a space inaugurated thanks to the Moda Cálida programme subsidies.

The fashion and accessories firm 'Chacho Souvenirs' will launch a new design of its own brand, changing its name to 'Chacho SVNRS', a move that seeks to differentiate itself from traditional souvenirs and open up a market outside the island. "From now on it will be clearer that when you buy a SVNRS you buy a souvenir but also a trend, quality, exclusivity and creativity", as the founder and creative director of the brand, Francisco Casillas, explained to the Councillor for Economic Development, Minerva Alonso, who visited the workshop today to take stock of the company's progress and talk about its objectives.

The brand, created in 2020, has been under the umbrella of the Moda Cálida programme for three years and has participated in the line of subsidies - which was used to finance the opening of the workshop - and in the different events it organises, parading in two editions of Moda y Amigos and last year, in Gran Canaria Swim Week.

"The Cabildo will always support small companies that are trying to make their way in the fashion industry, which, given the singularities of our territory, undoubtedly have to face additional difficulties, and Chacho in particular is a firm very attached to our identity, with its own personality that can be very successful not only among the young local public, where it is already well known, but also in other European markets", said the councillor after the meeting.

That is the aim of the creative designer, who was interested during the meeting in the line of internationalisation that the Cabildo has been working on for some years with the Chamber of Commerce, and which already has a paved path and contacts in markets and fashion weeks as interesting as Copenhagen, Berlin or Millán.
