The Cabildo brings together the Gran Canarian designers who will parade in Swim Week to finalize the last details

The Councilor for Economic Development convened the island's brands to address issues such as the communication plan, casting and the buyers' area.

The Councilor for Economic Development of the Cabildo, Minerva Alonso, summoned today the 14 swimwear firms from Gran Canaria that will participate in the next edition of Gran Canaria Swim Week, which will start on Wednesday, October 2, in order to inform some last-minute details and thus improve coordination with the designers during the event.

Aspects such as the media plan -local, national and international- the casting, “which must be a reflection of the society”, as the counselor warned, or the buyers' space in which the brands that meet certain requirements will be able to participate, were discussed during this meeting in which the heads of each firm were also able to raise their doubts.

Alonso also wanted to encourage everyone to “work with the utmost excellence to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in this catwalk, already a reference showcase for swimwear fashion”. He also explained to them that during these days their work will consist of working on the alliances already established and looking for new ones. “You are the protagonists, I will try to accompany you whenever I can, but my work those days is in the meeting rooms, putting the focus on continuing to improve every year so that each time you have more opportunities.”
